Haven’t found what you’re looking for? Here’s some other information you might need.
Who's eligible to attend?

Registration is open to members of TEI and other in-house tax professionals. (Individuals engaged in private law, accounting, or other consulting practice are ineligible to attend.)
How do I register?
Check out our registration page for prices and other information.
Are there perks for new members?
Yes. TEI has reduced the registration fee by $200 (U.S.) for members attending their first TEI conference. Individuals who have applied for membership are eligible for the first-timer discount.
Do I get an early registration discount?
Yes. TEI is offering an early registration discount to members and nonmembers whose registrations and payments are received by TEI by 4 p.m. ET on February 28, 2014.
My department wants to send multiple people. Are there any additional discounts available for group registrations?
Yes. As a special incentive for companies to send multiple attendees, a $200 discount will apply for the third (and all subsequent) registrants from your company*. During the registration process, enter “GROUP” into the box labeled “Discount Code.” The $200 discount will be applied before checkout.

*This discount does not apply to 1st and 2nd registrants from a company. First-timer and group discounts may not be combined. All participants of the group discount must be registered at the full member or non-member rates.

Where do I get the conference handouts?
Conference materials will be posted in a searchable format on a secure website. Beginning two weeks before the conference, registrants will be able to access the handouts via a secure link (requiring a password), so they can download or print them out. No paper copies will be provided in your registration materials, and onsite printing facilities will be limited. TEI encourages you to download or print documents of interest in advance. Materials will remain accessible by conference registrants for one month after the conference.
What should I wear?
Business or business casual attire may be worn during the day and on Sunday evening. Business attire is appropriate on Tuesday evening.
What about my spouse?
The spouse fee covers the reception on Sunday and the reception and banquet on Tuesday.
Can I buy extra meal tickets?
Registrants may purchase tickets for guests to luncheons, receptions, and the banquet at the TEI Registration Desk. Guest tickets may not be purchased for sponsors or practitioners.
How do I get into the banquet?
The Tuesday banquet ticket included in your on-site registration packet must be exchanged for an admission ticket at the ticket exchange desk adjacent to the TEI Registration Desk. A flyer explaining the ticket exchange and reserved table policy will be included in your registration packet.
I'm a member of the media. May I attend?
Sessions involving government officials will be open to the media. To receive press credentials, please email Lisa Samuels, Director of Communications & Marketing.
May I use my cell phone or camera?
The use of digital and other recording devices is not permitted in any meeting rooms, except by accredited members of the media. To avoid disturbing others, please switch off mobile phones upon entering the meeting rooms.
May I smoke?
Smoking is not permitted at any TEI conference event.
Where at the hotel can I get my messages?
Telephone calls, messages, and conference announcements will be posted on the message board at the TEI Registration Desk. The phone number for messages is 202.582.1234 (ask for the TEI Registration Desk). Hotel guests may receive fax messages at 202.637.4781.
What if I need to ship conference materials?
As a result of diminished needs, there will no longer be a shipping service provided on Wednesday. The Grand Hyatt’s Business Center, located on the Lagoon Level, provides a full array of shipping services.
